About the role
WA Health is embarking on an exciting journey of transformation as part of the WA Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Program. The EMR program aims to digitally transform WA Health's clinical information management systems by delivering a Statewide EMR solution.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Technical Director to join our diverse and highly skilled team to contribute to the health of all Western Australians.
Key responsibilities
* Lead and manage the technical elements of the EMR to ensure delivery, alignment with clinical, operational, financial, governance and technical requirements, and adherence to implementation timelines.
* Collaborate closely with the Clinical, Program Delivery and Financial & Commercial Directors, key stakeholders, including clinical leaders in Health Service Providers (HSPs), technical teams, external vendors/partners and service providers.
* Ensure the solution meets agreed specifications and standards, delivers intended benefits, and is scalable for future needs.
* Manage risks or issues related to the technical stream.
Qualifications and constraints
* Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible visa to live and work in Australia.
* Must undertake a pre-employment health assessment, criminal record screening, and integrity check.
* Referees may be asked to comment on an applicant's integrity and ethical behaviour.
* Experience in leading large-scale digital health or EMR implementations is highly desirable.
