Position Overview
We currently have an opportunity for a Service Engineer based in Sydney. The role involves design, engineering, commissioning, service, and maintenance of Control and other Siemens automation systems. It also requires sales and tendering support, project management skills, and proven team leadership, offering excellent career growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
* Troubleshooting on-site or remotely to diagnose and resolve issues, implementing corrective actions.
* Participating in Root Cause Analysis, troubleshooting methodologies, and detailed problem documentation.
* Supporting systems including OS (Linux, Windows), network hardware, server hardware, security tools, monitoring tools, Web servers, Application servers, and Integration servers.
* Designing, analyzing, installing, configuring, upgrading, testing, documenting, monitoring, and maintaining software and hardware for secure operational technology networks.
* Developing, implementing, maintaining, and providing technical support for hardware and software supporting power plant/control systems.
* Designing, developing, testing, and commissioning hardware/software solutions using Ominivse T3000, PCS7, S7/WinCC.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, computer science, electrical, electronics, controls engineering.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in controls, digitalization, or cybersecurity systems design, engineering, service, or maintenance.
* Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, or DCS control systems applications.
* Experience with industrial communication protocols (OPC, Modbus, DNP3.0).
* Understanding of cybersecurity solutions, configuring industrial control networks, firewalls, routers, VPN, remote access.
* Full working rights in Australia and willingness to travel across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia Pacific. Ability to work on after-hours on-call support.
