Become a trusted partner in one of the most impactful moments of a family's life. As a Caseload Midwife – First Nations with Darling Downs Health, you'll have the rare opportunity to provide culturally grounded, relationship-driven care that empowers Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women throughout their maternity journey. Join a collaborative, community-focused model where your skills, compassion and cultural understanding shape safer, stronger and more connected maternity experiences. Strong Culture, Strong Youth, Our Legacy, Our Future
What Your Day Will Look Like...
Your day will be guided by deep relationships with the women and families in your caseload, supporting them across the entire childbirth journey with care that is holistic, culturally grounded and evidence-based. You'll work autonomously while staying closely connected to a multidisciplinary team, collaborating on clinical decisions, advocating for women's voices, and contributing to a positive, culturally respectful practice environment. Whether you're conducting assessments, coordinating care pathways, mentoring peers, or strengthening partnerships with community and Traditional Owner groups, each interaction is centred on trust, respect and the unique needs of the women you serve. Your role also includes shaping practice through reflective learning, supporting quality improvements, and championing culturally safe care that truly makes a difference.
