**THE POSITION: HSET Site Officer**
Emeco is seeking a HSET Site Officer to join our growing team supporting the site operations in the Goldfields mining region. Supporting the Maintenance Superintendent, HSET Manager and their teams in continuing to lead improvements in all aspects of HSE performance and culture, through the provision of proactive advice and hands-on assistance in line with Emeco's Safety Health Environment Management System to deliver the Emeco Safety vision of zero harm.
- Support, coach and advise maintenance teams on HSE matters and equip them with the appropriate tools and knowledge to effectively operate on their sites;
- Develop effective working relationships, through consultation and engagement with the regional maintenance team;
- Provide regular HSE KPI activity reporting of metrics to the business to communicate progress against HSE plans and key objectives;
- Proactively provide hands-on assistance in the implementation of HSE tools and processes;
- Support incident investigations including managing incident site, the gathering of evidence and ensure corrective actions are communicated and support their implementation within agreed time-frames
- Monitor compliance of the SMP thorough audits and inspections;
- Support the injury management process and the return to work coordination;
- Maintain training and induction records for the region;
- Develop, review, update and deliver training packages;
- Develop, review and update JSEA's/ SWMS/ Training etc;
- Ensure employees and contractor personnel are in full compliance to site and company health, safety and training standards.
**WE ARE LOOKING FOR**:
- Cert IV or Diploma in Health & Safety
- Prior experience in similar role (Mining Mobile equipment exposure Preferable)
- Cert IV in Training & Assessment;
- Effective organisational and influencing skills;
- Strong safety leadership focus, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
