The Role
Reporting to a Senior Finance Manager, you will take ownership of financial reporting, tax, treasury, audit, and process improvement across a complex, high-volume operation. The role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys technical accounting, loves improving processes, and wants exposure across the full end-to-end finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Reporting & Compliance
* Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with AASB/IFRS/US GAAP.
* Assist with the statutory account's preparation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
* Assist with the month-end close process, including journals, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis.
* Help maintain general ledger integrity and ensure strong internal controls across all entities.
* Prepare technical accounting papers and ensure compliance with new and emerging accounting standards.
* Inventory accounting, revenue recognition (AASB 15), rebate allocations, and margin analysis.
* BAS/GST submissions, income-tax schedules, regulatory reporting, and compliance obligations.
* Review sales reporting, COGS, rebate claims, and pricing structures for accuracy and completeness.
* Assist with cash-flow forecasting.
* Manage banking relationships.
* Assist with the external audits.
* Stakeholder engagement.
Technical Competencies
* Understanding of AASB/IFRS/US GAAP with strong month-end and technical reporting capability.
* CA/CPA Qualification
* Exposure to revenue accounting or inventory accounting.
* Experience with treasury operations, cash-flow management, and banking controls.
* Proficiency across ERP systems.
* High-level analytical, investigative, and reconciliation capability.
