We are looking for an experienced Project Estimator or an ambitious Electrician looking to upskill and move into this space to join our collaborative team of committed professionals.

This role will suit someone currently in a similar role or someone wanting to step back from the field and be more involved in the estimating of projects but also still enjoys getting on site to give guidance and assistance to field staff if required.
The role is based in our Brisbane (Rocklea) office, though candidates open to working from either Brisbane or Toowoomba are strongly encouraged to apply. Initial in-person training and onboarding will occur at our Toowoomba office to ensure you're fully supported from day one.
Responsibilities will include:
* Evaluation of tender documentation and assist with preparation and submission of proposals ensuring deadlines are adhered to.
* Liaise with suppliers/vendors to maximize opportunities through quality relationships.
* Seek sub-contract/material pricing after appropriate take-offs are complete.
* Procurement and coordination of material availability for projects.
* Identity value management / cost planning opportunities.
* Actively contributes to business development by creating new business opportunities and identifying potential clients, projects and / or leads.
* Support Project Tender Administrator with technical queries.
* Support project teams with cost variances, procurement and other duties as required.
The Successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following Skills and Experience:
* Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role (is desirable)
* Qualified Electrician
* Proven experience & strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and industry standards
* Minimum 5 years electrical industry experience required
* Ability to interpret plans and specifications.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office & other programs.
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Strong communication, negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skills.
* Flexible attitude to travel and working hours.
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
