Food Rescue Role
Our organization is seeking volunteers to assist in the collection and distribution of surplus food to local charities providing relief to vulnerable individuals.
* Volunteers will work in pairs, collecting surplus food from donors and checking its quality before distributing it to recipient agencies.
* Loading donated food into personal vehicles following established guidelines on food safety and manual handling.
* Weighing donated food and recording details of volume and type collected.
* Assisting in unloading and distribution of food to local charities serving those in need.
* Communicating with food donors, recipient charities, and fellow volunteers regarding logistics and coordination.
