Overview
CB Energy is seeking a motivated and multi-skilled Crane Truck Driver/Plant Operator with experience in the URD or utilities industries to support our civil and electrical crews in the installation of civil, electrical, and lighting infrastructure.
Completing a varied range of tasks from day to day such as cable hauling, installation of street light and traffic signal poles and equipment, transporting of small equipment, and collection and delivery of construction materials to and from site, the successful applicant will:
Be self motivated and efficient, with the ability to work unsupervised
Possess Experience in:
Driving trucks up to HR (unrestricted)
Operation of remote controlled truck mounted crane
Operation of cable drum trailers and winches for hauling of LV and HV cables
Transporting, loading, and Plant operation of excavators, skidsteers, and other tracked or wheeled machinery
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Follow company procedures and complete forms and checklists
Demonstrate a proven track record of good performance and a solid employment history
Licences and competencies
The following licences and competencies will be preferred (but not essential if you have previous experience in the URD or utilities industries and are willing to be trained).
Current Heavy Vehicle driver's licence - (HR unrestricted essential)
(CV) Truck Mounted Crane Ticket
Other plant operation tickets/licences and current competencies will be advantageous, such as EWP over 11 metres, excavator and skidsteer.
Remuneration
Remuneration will be based on verifiable skills and experience, and includes:
Competitive base hourly rate + penalties & allowances (Paid weekly).
Energy QLD Core Work rates up to $54/hr plus all overtime at double time when installing Energex infrastructure
Very generous site specific allowances
