Peppers Blue on Blue Resort is situated on Magnetic Island located just 25 minutes by ferry from Townsville. The resort overlooking the Coral Sea offers a range of guest rooms, suites, one, two and three bedroom apartments. Purpose
As a Night Public Area Cleaner, you are a vital part of our night owl team, committed to upholding impeccable cleanliness throughout the property. You will feel comfortable working independently, carrying the on‐call phone, and being readily available – a welcoming presence for guests seeking assistance with late‐night questions or minor maintenance issues.
Primary Responsibilities
* Ensure the property always looks its best, with a keen focus on both indoor and outdoor public areas to meet our high cleanliness and presentation standards.
* Expertly handle specialised equipment and chemicals with safety in mind.
* Assist in preparing guest rooms ready for the next day's operation.
* Provide guest assistance as needed, which may involve tasks such as key security and responding to minor issues while ensuring privacy and confidentiality.
* Act as eyes and ears for our maintenance and guest services teams, reporting any issues promptly, from maintenance problems, to damaged equipment and missing items.
* Embrace the distinctive night shifts at our hotel, spanning from 11 pm to 7 am.
Skills And Experience
* Previous experience in a similar role (cleaner/room attendant/public area attendant) is a plus.
* Warm and welcoming communication style, making both guests and team members feel at ease.
* Eye for detail and efficient work, managing time well and taking pride in tasks.
* Adaptability and physical fitness to work in both internal and external environments, including staircases and uncovered areas.
* Independent worker who can take initiative and excel without constant supervision.
* Reliable transportation and availability to work a flexible rotating schedule including weekends and public holidays as required.
