Marine Machinery Maintenance Specialist

The role of the Marine Machinery Maintenance Specialist is to ensure the optimal performance and efficiency of the vessel's engines and mechanical equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining propulsion, auxiliary and ancillary machinery in accordance with Planned Maintenance System (PMS) requirements.

Additionally, the candidate will perform deck maintenance and rounds as required by the Chief Engineer, and work as the engine room Duty Engineer on rotation as needed.

To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess relevant qualifications, including a relevant certification as per AMSA Marine Order 72 - Engineer Class 3.
">
A minimum of 12 months' experience in a related role, including at least 36 weeks of sea service on vessels with propulsion power 750 kilowatts, is also required.

Desirable certifications include Certificate of Safety Training (STCW), Work Safely at Heights Certification, Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification, and Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).
