Our organisation plays a pivotal role in safeguarding NSW workers by preventing and reducing work-related fatalities, serious injuries, and illnesses. We focus on securing compliance with work health and safety legislation through effective partnerships and evidence-based initiatives.
We are undergoing an exciting period of transformation as we establish the organisation as a modern, strong, and standalone Work Health and Safety Regulator. This includes protecting NSW workers through stakeholder engagement, targeted regulatory responses to incidents, and harm prevention strategies.
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and maintaining strategic relationships with industry associations to build capability and capacity.
* Applying specialist knowledge and experience to develop and lead mentoring and training programs for inspectors.
* Providing leadership and expertise about emerging safety issues to build industry capability and implement harm prevention strategies.
* Contributing to driving behaviour and cultural change across NSW workplaces on work health and safety issues.
Requirements include:
* Diploma in Government (Workplace Inspection) plus additional competencies.
* Satisfactory criminal record check.
* Satisfactory medical assessment capacity.
* Valid driver's license.
