Our client, a highly respected brokerage specialising in the transport, construction, earthmoving, and forestry industries, is seeking a Senior Account Manager to join their collaborative team in a brand-new, state-of-the-art office in Hawthorn.

About the Role:
As a Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, primarily within the transport, construction, forestry, and heavy machinery sectors. You'll work alongside a close-knit team and be instrumental in delivering high-level service, tailored insurance solutions, and expert advice.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
Act as the primary contact, providing guidance on products, policies, and industry changes.
Develop tailored insurance strategies aligned with each client's risk profile and business goals.
Identify and capitalise on cross-sell and upsell opportunities within the client base.
Collaborate with the team on new business development and marketing initiatives.
Prepare and present proposals to secure and grow accounts.
Manage the full policy lifecycle including quotes, renewals, endorsements, and mid-term changes.
Liaise with insurers and underwriters to ensure competitive pricing and optimal coverage.
Maintain meticulous compliance with all relevant legislation, codes of practice, and company procedures.
Support clients through the claims process and advocate for timely and fair outcomes.
Provide ongoing risk management advice and adjust strategies as businesses evolve.
Mentor and collaborate with junior team members when required.
Maintain debtor control and accurate file management.
Stay current with industry trends, market conditions, and changes to regulations.
What We're Looking For:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in insurance broking or account management.
Proven ability to manage complex commercial client portfolios, preferably in transport and heavy equipment.
Sales and relationship-focused mindset with a drive to close and grow accounts.
High attention to detail and commitment to meticulous compliance.
Proficiency in broking systems such as WinBEAT, Insight, and Sunrise.
Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
A collaborative and professional approach.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Friendly, proactive, and open to change in a growing business environment.
