About the Team
With over twenty years' experience, more than ten of those with Interior Design & Architecture Firm BKH, Director Bianca Fraser leads her team and has a large portfolio of build projects, both Commercial & Residential in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Vietnam, New York & London.
The role purpose
Reporting to the Director the role is to assist by performing interior design work in the planning, design, and construction of a wide variety of interior projects.
The role is responsible for preparing interiors drawings following the client's brief which indicates the nature and scope of the project. As well as conducting inspections, preparing sketches and concept designs, documentation for tender and construction, project updates and daily work records.
To be successful
* You will be Degree qualified in Interior Design/ Architecture (ideally from UTS, UNSW, Whitehouse or Enmore TAFE) and have experience with CAD Programs
(Vectorworks essential + SketchUp).
* You will demonstrate working knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of interior design. You will have experience working with building materials, furniture and finishes, their function and physical properties, and construction methods and suitability.
* Working knowledge of structural, electrical, and mechanical services as related to interior design elements as well as familiarity of Council regulations, DA's/CC's.
* You will have experience of applicable codes and standards regulating the design and construction of buildings with knowledge of building & FFE costs.
* Ability to creatively portray interiors elements as a complete design and effectively take instruction and communicate with the Director and project team during the design and drafting process.
* You will have excellent ability to work as part of a team with a results orientated mindset and strong attention to detail skills. Your solid interpersonal and relationship management will be critical to your success in this role. You must be comfortable with working in a smalle studio environment and to be able to work independantly.

years experience working as an interior designer.
