Remuneration : Staff Specialist - $262,376 - $323,777 per annum full time equivalent depending on experience
Hours Per Week : Up to 32 Hours per week
This vacancy is maternity leave relief for an initial period ending in May 2026, for up to 32 hours per week; the hours and period of employment may change according to the maternity leave requirements. There is also the possibility of an extension at same / reduced hours
What You'll Be Doing
Provide contemporary comprehensive specialist General Paediatric services for optimal patient outcomes at the Network Hospitals including, Inpatient Services, Outpatient Clinics, Hospital in the Home and Consultancy where applicable for optimal patient outcomes delivering a healthy community through quality care.
Provide clinical leadership, participate in quality improvement activities and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

Where you'll be working
The Richmond network of facilities, part of the Northern NSW Local Health District include Lismore Base Hospital, Ballina District Hospital, Casino & District Memorial Hospital as well as Kyogle, Bonalbo, Nimbin and Urbenville Multi-Purpose Services
Lismore Base Hospital is a regional referral, Level 5 base hospital providing a wide range of health services to residents in Northern NSW. These services include a state-of-the-art Operating Theatre Suite, Intensive Care/Cardiac Care Unit, General Medical and Surgical Wards, Womens Care Unit, Paediatric Unit, Renal Unit, Emergency Department, Medical Imaging department and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory. Mental Health Inpatient Units, the North Coast Cancer Institute, Pathology, Pain Management Clinic, and Specialist Outpatient Clinics are also located on the Lismore Base Hospital campus. Lismore Base Hospital multi-million-dollar redevelopment has recently been completed.

Requirements
* Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Paediatrician, and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways.
* Demonstrated recent clinical experience in General Paediatrics and Neonatal Medicine at the role delineation of the service.
* Demonstrated recent clinical experience with Child and Adolescent medicine as well as children with complex care requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
* Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
* Valid unrestricted drivers licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment and availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time frame.
