- Anthony Branch Our client, a leading multi-national industrial services company, is currently seeking an experienced and results-oriented Operations Manager to join their dynamic team. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing production efficiency, testing, quality control, turnaround time, service orders, material delivery, and site maintenance. Your primary focus will be on driving operational excellence, maintaining cost-effective practices, and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction
**Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with sales, customers (as necessary), purchasing, logistics, and quality departments to contribute to on-time delivery and minimize inventory levels.
- Monitor and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs), swiftly implementing corrective actions when necessary to meet targets.
- Ensure the production and servicing of high-quality products in compliance with established quality assurance procedures.
- Supervise the implementation of 6S and KPS methodologies in the production process.
- Regularly monitor key performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions promptly.
- Develop, deploy, and execute strategies for continuous improvement, striving for best practices.
- Responsibly manage personnel, including recruitment, motivation, target setting, performance appraisals, identifying skill levels and training plans, absence and overtime management, vacation planning, and occupational health and safety.
- Ensure the achievement of daily and monthly service goals, analyzing any deviations and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor current capacity and capability, taking proactive measures to address any issues that may hinder the achievement of performance targets.
- Oversee the efficient control of service jobs, including accurate data entry and adherence to quoted pricing guidelines where applicable.
**Requirements**:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering, or a trade certificate with a minimum of 5 years of functional management experience, or minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a similar operational role.
- Proven track record in driving operational efficiency, managing teams, and delivering results.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and act upon key performance indicators.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
- Experience in implementing continuous improvement strategies and lean manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in monitoring budgets and managing costs while maintaining facilities and equipment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance procedures and practices.
- A proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
