As our business expands, we are seeking a commercially minded operations leader who can support both operational delivery and regional growth initiatives. The role offers the opportunity to play a key part in shaping and growing our presence in the region before transitioning into a standalone operational leadership role.
The role
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, this leadership role will oversee operations in the Bendigo region. You will lead high‐performing teams, ensure safe and compliant operations, and deliver outstanding client service. Regular travel in the region will be required.
Key responsibilities
* Manage and deliver outstanding performance in accordance with client contracts and general performance KPIs within these agreements
* Identify, manage and control risks that impact TRILITY's corporate goals
* Be responsible for the financial performance of contracts, including budgeting and continual budget review
* Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to Operations personnel
* Ensure that all asset management and maintenance activities are completed within the required agreed timeframes and within budget
* Provide high‐level operational input to support and facilitate capital projects from design to commissioning to ensure operational standards are maintained
* Ensure that TRILITY's objectives and policies in relation to health, safety and environment are successfully implemented, and that the team has a safety‐first culture
* Build a good rapport and manage the interactions and stakeholder management of the clients, regulators, contractors and consultants
* Prepare and submit reports, variations and similar documents required under the contracts and regulations
* Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans across the operations group
* Ensure the delivery of all management plans and associated activities are completed on time and in full
* Travel regularly within the state, with infrequent interstate travel required
What we are looking for
* Proven experience in a management role with a strong track record in leading teams
* Commercial acumen and demonstrated financial management and budgeting skills
* Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
* Experience at a senior level in water infrastructure would be highly regarded
* Water and wastewater quality management experience desirable
* Ability to lead and develop a group of people to create a high‐performance team
* Knowledge and understanding of the principles, policies and practices associated with safety, environmental and quality management systems
* Possess a high level of maturity, with the ability to make decisions with minimal direction and guidance
* Be flexible with the ability to adapt to change and rapidly apply new knowledge
* Possess sound report writing skills
