About The OpportunityWe are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic experienced Ecologist to join our Wollongong office.
This is an exciting opportunity for a consultant who enjoys a mix of fieldwork, technical reporting, and project delivery, while building strong connections with clients and colleagues.In this role, you will scope, manage, and undertake ecological surveys and assessments, prepare proposals and reports, and contribute to the successful delivery of a wide range of projects.
We encourage innovative thinking and support new approaches to project delivery and problem-solving.You WillWork on diverse and exciting projects across NSW, delivering high-quality ecological assessments and practical environmental solutions for clientsUndertake ecological field surveys and assessments in a variety of landscapes and conditionsPrepare high-quality proposals, reports, and management plansContribute to project management, client liaison, and team collaborationAccess ongoing learning and development opportunities within our Ecology DisciplineAbout YouTo thrive in this role, you\'ll bring:Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Ecology or related discipline4+ years' ecological experience (preferably in NSW)Working knowledge of NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislationStrong fauna and/or flora species knowledge and identification skillsExperience planning and undertaking ecological fieldworkWell-developed written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated proficiency in report writing (e.g. monitoring, assessment, management plans)Project management skills and experienceCurrent driver's licenceIt Is Also Desirable That You HaveEcological consulting experienceBAM assessor accreditation or ability to obtainIf you're a motivated team player who's keen to grow your passion for ecology, work in the field, and collaborate with a high-performing team - this could be the perfect fit for you.About the locationThe coastal city of Wollongong, just 80 km south of Sydney, offers the perfect balance of city living and natural beauty.
