Volley Recruit is currently recruiting an experienced Civil Supervisor for one of our clients, commencing in the New Year. This role supports a wholly South Australian based, owned and operated contractor that delivers earthmoving and construction services across the rail, commercial, industrial, and civil sectors, working directly for engineers and/or architects on a diverse range of projects.
About the Role
You will oversee and manage civil works projects including, but not limited to:
* Roadways, pathways, and car parks
* Common services and public lighting
* Sewer, stormwater, and water infrastructure
* Environmental drainage structures such as swales, rock walls, gabion mattresses, silt ponds, and detention basins
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise daily site operations and coordinate multiple crews and subcontractors
* Manage civil construction activities including bulk earthworks and drainage requirements
* Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, budget, and quality standards
* Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations
* Liaise effectively with clients, engineers, architects, and internal stakeholders
About You
The ideal candidate will meet the following expectations:
* Proven experience as a Civil Site Supervisor or similar role within the civil construction sector, with a minimum of 2 years' experience
* Comprehensive understanding of civil construction processes, materials, and equipment
* Demonstrated experience delivering projects involving bulk earthworks, drainage, and associated civil works
* Strong project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and crews simultaneously
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Thorough knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, with a strong commitment to workplace safety
* Relevant qualifications in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
