Your Responsibilities
* You will assist in conducting lifestyle assessments of residents.
* Promote happiness, wellbeing, and quality of life for residents through various activities.
* Assist in delivering workshops, social events, and other activities designed to enhance resident experiences.
* Participate actively in the delivery of activity programs, contributing to the overall success of our community.
* Document any changes to resident activities or Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
* Communicate effectively with residents and their families, building strong relationships and trust.
Your Qualifications and Experience
* Demonstrate a solid understanding of leisure and lifestyle programming, including Aged Care Quality Standards.
* Hold a Certificate III/IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent qualification.
* Prior experience in a Lifestyle Assistant position (or similar), including dementia care, is highly valued.
* Proficiency in using computerized care management systems is desirable, along with excellent computer literacy skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills, are essential for success in this role.
To work in residential aged care, you must provide satisfactory background checks, supply a NDIS worker screening clearance, flu vaccination, and certification proof.
