About the role
Auslink logisticspty ltd' is seeking a talented and driven Business Devolvement Transport Manager to join our team. In this full-time role based in Laverton North, VIC, you will play a key strategic role in driving the growth and development of our logistics business. Collaborating closely with senior leadership, you will identify new business opportunities, expand our service offerings and deliver exceptional results.
What you'll be doing
* Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to identify, pursue and secure new client accounts
* Manage and oversee the end-to-end sales process, from prospect outreach to contract negotiation and conversion
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive ongoing business and secure repeat work
* Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for innovation and growth
* Provide strategic recommendations to senior management on market positioning, service expansion and resource allocation
* Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of sales and account management professionals
* Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
What we're looking for
* Extensive experience (8+ years) in a senior business development or sales leadership role within the logistics or transportation industry
* Excellent commercial acumen and a proven track record of identifying, pursuing and converting new business opportunities
* Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable growth initiatives
* Outstanding communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills
* Effective leadership abilities, including the capacity to motivate, coach and develop high-performing teams
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, logistics, or a related field
