Senior Occupational Therapist, Preschool Health and Development Check
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Preschool Health and Development Check Program. The purpose of the role is to provide a high-quality allied health clinical service supporting the implementation and development of the MLHD Preschool Health and Development Checks for four-year-old children in early education settings. This includes the completion of screening assessments and capacity building of health and education staff involved in the program with the intention to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for the clients of the service. The role also participates in the evaluation of program initiatives and assists in the development and provision of education and training programs.
As the Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for:
* The provision of a high-level clinical service (including services of a more complex nature) to provide a high-quality clinical service
* Promoting quality and safety of services by providing clinical supervision and support to Allied Health and broader network of staff working with children and families across MLHD.
* Providing a consultative service in areas of clinical expertise to clinicians across the district to promote the consistent provision of safe high quality client‐centred care and optimal outcomes for clients.

Remuneration: $126,524.00 - $129,591.00 per annum, pro rata(+ super +17.5% leave loading where applicable)

Our Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate
* A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA under the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
* Extensive Occupational Therapy clinical experience and demonstrated ability to work flexibly within a variety of service delivery models
* Excellent interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated ability to effectively engage, consult, negotiate and work collaboratively
