Northfleet are the largest fleet provider in the Pilbara and are a market leader in the transport, bus, vehicle, and hire industry, supplying solutions to customers throughout Perth, Pilbara, Southwest and regional Western Australia.
We are currently seeking experienced MC truck drivers to join our Perth operations for local and long‑distance work.
Successful candidates will benefit from a great team environment and competitive hourly rate of $50 to $58/hour dependent on the class of licence held, experience and qualifications. These positions are available for locally‑based work and away work.
To be a successful candidate:
* Safety conscious, punctual, hardworking and reliable.
* Demonstrated long‑term work history in a similar role.
* Excellent understanding of access equipment and competent and willing to operate wheeled high‑risk equipment.
* Experience operating Road Train Combinations.
* Experience in transporting oversize road trains (preferred).
* Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
* Knowledge of the West Australian Road Network.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
* Valid WA MC driver's licence as a minimum.
* Sound understanding of the metro area.
* MC Drivers willing to run North need a sound knowledge of the northern regions and mine site locations.
* National Police Clearance (valid within 6 months).
Required tickets (Northfleet will arrange training):
* Current Commercial Driver's Medical (within three years validity)
* Valid WA Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
* Fatigue Management Certificate
* Elevated Work Platform (WP) Ticket
* MSIC Card
About this role:
* MC Operators for locally‑based and project (away) work.
* Drivers will ensure compliance with all safety requirements including daily pre‑starts on vehicles and trailers, defect reporting and hazard/incident reporting.
* Adhere to all quality control procedures including using the company's electronic recording systems.
* Knowledge and understanding of fatigue management rules and ability to record worked hours accurately.
* Operate the vehicle and trailer in a safe and efficient manner.
* Participate in random drug and alcohol testing program.
* Complete documentation correctly to comply with Fatigue and Safe Driving Plans.
