About your new Role
You will be responsible for conducting in-depth quantitative equity research, analysing portfolio construction, and utilising quantitative models to support investment decisions.
* Develop and maintain quantitative models to forecast portfolio performance and identify investment opportunities and weaknesses.
* Contribute to the frameworks for monitoring of overall portfolio construction and equity managers for performance and process anomalies and ensure this is regularly conducted and documented.
* Monitor and evaluate market trends, economic indicators, and industry developments as they relate to portfolio positioning.
* Collaborate to develop investment strategies and recommendations using quantitative modelling
* Utilise advanced statistical techniques and software tools (FactSet and eVestment) and risk systems (Axioma) to analyse large datasets and derive actionable insights.
* Input into reporting up to Board level.
About you
Your experience is within an investment manager/superannuation fund in an active management environment and includes the following:
* Direct equity investment experience.
* Experience in multi-manager equity portfolio construction.
* Quantitative portfolio modelling, researching and forecasting; including position sizing, trading, concentration controls, hit rates, rebalancing decisions, quality of data sources, weighting decisions, turnover considerations, trading signals/refinements & style drift.
* Working knowledge of YSYF and APRA regulations and reporting requirements.
* An understanding of ESG factors in the investment process,
* Experience in undertaking research projects involving financial/ trading and/or economic data.
