Albury Steel Fabricators is seeking an experienced Workshop Foreman/Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy fabrication workshop.
You will be responsible for the planning and completion of fabrication packages with the workshop team. As this role is a dynamic / fast paced position you will be required to plan and manage workshop resources as part of a team and undertake designated activities with minimal supervision to achieve expectations and deadlines.
The Role;
* Plan, organize, direct, and run optimal day-to-day operations.
* Quality control.
* Liaise with customers/potential customers.
* Increase productivity and minimize costs whilst maintaining high quality and service.
* Maintain healthy working relationships with employees in the workshop.
* Train and develop staff.
* Help guide apprentices towards completion of their trade.
* Ability to be hands-on, work alongside staff and Management to set a high standard.
To be considered the following candidate must possess:
* Five years post apprenticeship experience.
* The ability to work to deadlines.
* Sound knowledge of drawings.
* Strong technical ability & understanding of mining/commercial steelwork.
* Familiarity with workplace health and safety regulations and quality control procedures.
* Proven ability to prioritise and to work under pressure to ensure that internal services are efficient to operations.
* Excellent relationship building, problem solving, negotiation, communication and leadership skills.
* Basic to intermediate computer skills.
