About the Role
We are seeking a contemporary and strategic leader to join our Executive team as Director of Community Engagement on a permanent full‐time basis.
Reporting directly to the Principal, this is a pivotal role responsible for shaping how the College is experienced, understood and valued by its community. You will lead the strategy and execution of the College's brand, marketing, communications and engagement approach, ensuring strong alignment with our vision and long‐term priorities.
This is a broad and influential portfolio with oversight across:
* Brand, marketing and communications
* Enrolment strategy and pipeline
* Digital presence and media
* Community, alumni and partnership engagement
* Major events and College experiences
At its core, this role is about connection and growth. You will build meaningful relationships with prospective and current families, alumni and the wider community, while using data and insight to strengthen engagement and drive sustained enrolment demand.
As a key member of the Executive team, you will lead and develop a high‐performing team, set clear direction and bring a forward‐thinking, innovative approach to how the College tells its story and positions itself in an increasingly competitive landscape.
In this role, success will look like:
* Strong and sustained enrolment demand across the College
* A clear, consistent and compelling brand presence
* High‐impact marketing campaigns and community experiences
* Deep engagement with families, alumni and the broader community
* A capable, aligned and high‐performing team
This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact on the future direction of the College.
About You
You are a strategic leader who knows how to build a brand, grow engagement and create meaningful connections. You are equally comfortable setting direction at an Executive level and rolling up your sleeves to bring ideas to life.
You bring a strong commercial and strategic mindset, with a clear understanding of how marketing, communications and community engagement contribute to organisational growth and long‐term sustainability.
Most importantly, you are someone who leads with authenticity and purpose. You build trust quickly, communicate with clarity and bring people with you.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field, and/or equivalent senior leadership experience
* A current QLD Blue Card, or the ability to obtain prior to commencement
* Demonstrated success leading integrated marketing, communications and engagement functions within a complex organisation
* Strong public relations capability, including issues and crisis management
* Proven experience leading and developing high‐performing teams
* Experience overseeing customer or enrolment pipelines and driving growth
* Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse groups
* Strong analytical capability, with the ability to translate data into insight and action
* Highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced environment
* A high level of professionalism, integrity and sound judgement
You will also bring a genuine alignment to the College's values of Courage, Respect, Integrity and Compassion, and a commitment to contributing positively to our culture and community.
This role requires flexibility to work outside standard business hours, including evenings and weekends, to support key events and College activities.
