Our client, a well-established specialist practice is seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join their team. The role offers exposure to a broad range of general haematology presentations, including pregnancy-related haematological conditions, as well as the diagnostic management of haematological malignancies. The practice has a particular focus on lymphoma and myeloma, providing an opportunity to work within a highly specialised and patient-centred environment. Based at Everton Park on Brisbane's Northside, this position will require travel to a second clinic location once a week.
The position is Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week, with on-site car parking provided, offering an excellent work–life balance within a supportive clinical environment.
Key duties and responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
* Front-desk reception duties including patient check-in, enquiries and appointment coordination
* Managing phone calls, emails and patient correspondence professionally and efficiently
* Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
* Supporting clinical workflows across multiple practice sites
* Following up outstanding tasks and ensuring attention to detail in all administrative processes
* Patient billing and receipting
In addition to the key duties and responsibilities, Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow up tasks independently
* Positive, professional attitude and strong work ethic
* Proven experience working directly with patients in a frontline 'front of house' role
* Ability to remain calm, focused, and composed during busy and dynamic periods
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Sound IT literacy, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, any exposure to Genie software would be viewed favourably
* Valid Australian driver's licence
* Willingness to travel to practice locations
* National Police Clearance Certificate (required prior to commencement)

Remuneration:
The role offers a competitive rate of $30 - $37 per hour plus super for a suitably experienced candidate, along with secure car parking.
