Senior Estimating and Pricing Specialist
* This role involves providing expert advice on cost estimation and pricing for proposals.
The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of key cost drivers, the ability to generate accurate estimates, and ensure that all financial aspects are well-integrated into the proposal process.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide guidance to capture managers and program teams in developing accurate estimates and priced proposals.
* Lead financial input in pre-proposal planning to ensure technical and cost/pricing approaches align.
* Develop cost estimating instructions and ground rules with relevant stakeholders.
* Establish and manage proposals within approved pricing tools.
* Conduct estimating reviews and pricing reviews with stakeholders.
* Coordinate the development and documentation of key estimating assumptions used in estimate development.
* Process cost data, perform cost analysis, and support management/gate reviews.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial accounting requirements.
* University degree in finance or equivalent discipline suitable for this role.
* Minimum 6 years prior experience in cost estimation and pricing.
* Experience presenting to senior leaders and training peers.
* Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
