About the Role
Do you enjoy variety in your workday and the chance to be out in industry?
Would you like to mentor students on placement while making meaningful industry connections?
If so, we have the perfect casual teaching opportunity for you.
In this role, you’ll step out into industry to observe, mentor, and assess our Certificate III in Individual Support students while they’re on work placement. You’ll also have the chance to jump into the classroom to cover leave, making each week different from the last.
This is a flexible, hands-on role, typically offered in blocks of 3–4 weeks during peak placement periods, with additional opportunities as needed.

Some key responsibilities for this role include:
* Prepare, deliver and assess vocational education and training programs using a variety of teaching methods (including flexible delivery, on-the-job training and assessment).
* Research, adapt and develop innovative learning practices that meet student needs and industry standards.
* Create inclusive learning programs for students from diverse backgrounds and abilities, applying appropriate support and modified strategies where required.
* Contribute to the broader teaching team through course advice, student selection, enrolments, promotional activities, graduation, and administrative tasks.

About You
You’re someone who brings a genuine passion for teaching and supporting students to thrive, whether they’re in the classroom or out in the workplace. You communicate clearly, stay organised under pressure, and know how to adapt your style to suit the unique ways different students learn. With a collaborative, flexible mindset, you’re comfortable stepping into diverse teaching environments and contributing wherever you’re needed most.
Additionally, you will also have:
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116 with upgrades).
* Relevant qualifications in Individual Support and recent industry experience.

Salary Range
Casual Teacher L1 | $90.07 (teaching) and $61.22 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF4 teaching qualification
Casual Teacher L2 | $93.61 (teaching) and $63.62 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF5 teaching qualification
Casual Teacher L3 | $97.31 (teaching) and $66.10 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF6+ teaching qualification
Superannuation is paid at the current superannuation guarantee rate.
