Located in Laidley, Tabeel is surrounded by lovely gardens where residents can enjoy the sunshine, potter in the garden or spend time with family. Our accommodation options include single, shared and private ensuite rooms, with accommodation for couples. Respite care is also available.
**About the role**:
As our Kitchen Assistant you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the preparation of an innovative, varied and nourishing meal service that meets resident needs and preferences.
- Creating, presenting and serving meals in an aesthetically pleasing manner that encourages enjoyment for consumers.
- Managing kitchen operations on weekends
- Promoting a safe food environment, including the cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen and associated areas.
- Ensuring compliance with required food safety and quality standards.
- Actively contributing to the advancement of the food service
We have casual and permanent part time opportunities available.
- Mon & Tues every week.
- Sat & Sun every second week. 45 hours per fortnight
**Shifts start and finish between the hours of 6 am and 7 pm.**
**About you**:
Critical to your success in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience preparing meals for large groups of people.
- Experience in the operation of commercial kitchen equipment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
In addition, you will:
- Be comfortable working within a small team on a wide range of simultaneous tasks.
- Maintain a positive Federal Police Check
- Provide proof of working rights
