\As a seasoned Senior Market Growth Manager, you will play a critical role in driving business development and marketing strategies for our Energy & Resources industry group. In this high-performing national role, you will work closely with the Energy & Resources Industry Lead Partner, Energy & Resources Industry Leadership Team, and broader partners to set and lead strategy, prioritize execution, and collaborate across teams.\
1. Develop and execute the industry strategic plan, aligning with firm strategy and collaborating with key partners and the broader Client & Market Growth (CMG) team to unlock profitable growth for our business and clients.
2. Work closely and collaboratively with the Industry Leader, community of industry partners, consultants, and lawyers (Industry Leadership Team), and the CMG team – connecting people from across the business and demonstrating leadership and direction by bringing teams together to deliver Industry priorities.
3. Subject Matter Expert (SME) with presence in and deep understanding of the industry, including key matters and deals, stakeholders and influencers, industry players/issues, competitor landscape, client footprint, and market position.
4. Coach partners and lawyers with strategic business development advice.
5. Lead pitches and collaborate with CMG Business Unit colleagues to apply industry insights to bids where they are the SME.
6. Drive client conversations to ensure client intelligence is maintained, relationships are nurtured, and service excellence is upheld.
7. Identify opportunities across business units and priority areas, clients, and geographies and support the formation of cross-business unit teams to pursue opportunities and strengthen pipeline in an integrated and coherent fashion.
8. Qualify and be responsible for the development of high-quality client-facing materials and precedents with compelling value propositions, working alongside our Centre of Excellence and Major Proposals team.
9. Collaborate with the brand/marketing team to validate, design, and deliver client and market engagement strategies. Prioritize industry objectives through the delivery of integrated marketing campaigns, including events, thought leadership, sponsorships, and industry partnerships that focus on bespoke, unique client experiences differentiating our brand.
10. Establish internal and external networks and create strong connectivity in a matrix structure. Demonstrate leadership qualities by setting the standard for best BD practice, sharing insights, being a powerful collaborator and mentor, and representing the CMG/Industry team with gravitas and understanding.
11. Apply a commercial lens to industry and client development by understanding the levers of profitability and reporting on financial performance to enhance decision making. Manage the industry budget in a transparent, cost-effective manner.
\About You\We welcome applications from seasoned professionals who possess:\
12. Tertiary qualifications (or equivalent) in marketing, business, or a related discipline.
13. 7+ years' experience in business development, or equivalent work experience. Experience in a professional services environment will be well regarded, as will experience and understanding of the energy and resources industry.
14. Proven ability in strategic planning and client account management to deliver commercial outcomes.
15. Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills with high attention to detail.
16. Collaborative and adaptable approach, nurturing relationships with stakeholders at all levels across the business.
17. Ability to manage competing and high-profile tasks in a fast-paced environment working within tight timeframes.
18. Strong influencing and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders.
19. Commercially focused approach with strong analytical and planning skills.
20. Leadership mindset – be a team-player, working with, mentoring, and connecting with people at all levels, particularly within CMG.
21. Adaptive and actively works to get the best out of teams.
22. Excellent organizational, time management, and project management skills to prioritize and manage complex issues.
23. Proactive, self-motivated, and flexible in responding to changing work priorities, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
24. Flexibility, resilience, problem-solving, and an outcomes focus, able to tackle complex issues, challenging own and others' thinking.
25. Growth mindset, focusing on self-development and actively supporting the development of others.
26. Commitment to excellence without attitude in all interactions, acting with utmost integrity.
27. Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite products including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, including Co-Pilot and other AI tools.
