As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our business, leading the analysis and delivery of high-impact initiatives across multiple divisions including Claims, Sales & Service, Risk & Compliance, Product, IT, and more. - Leading the planning and delivery of strategic projects and transformation initiatives
- Driving stakeholder engagement across business, technical, and executive teams
- Identifying business needs and opportunities through deep analysis and insight
- Translating complex business problems into clear, actionable solutions and specifications
- Leading workshops, eliciting and refining requirements, and validating solutions
- Mentoring and supporting other Business Analysts to build capability and consistency
- Designing and documenting processes, workflows, and solution architecture
- Using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and MS Project to support delivery and governance
- Championing continuous improvement and best practice within the BA community
What experience you’ll bring
- 5–8 years’ experience as a Business Analyst (1–2 years at senior level), ideally with exposure to agile large-scale or enterprise-level projects
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Advanced stakeholder management and influencing abilities
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, or hybrid)
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Deep experience in one or more domains: risk & compliance, digital, transformation, operations, or IT
- Proficient in business process modelling (As-Is/To-Be), user story development, and data analysis
- Experience in regulated industries (insurance, finance, health, etc.) is highly regarded
- Tertiary qualifications in business, IT, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- BA certifications (e.g. ECBA, CCBA, CBAP, Agile AAC)
- Agile qualifications (e.g. PSM, CSM)
- Familiarity with APRA regulations and risk identification is a plus
