About the Role
As a Consultant Paediatrician, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of child and adolescent health.
You will deliver high-quality paediatric and neonate care while supporting integrated service delivery across regional South Australia.
This role involves providing expert clinical services, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, and supporting evidence-based practices that enhance outcomes for children – especially Aboriginal children – through culturally appropriate care.
The position also includes contributing to the development of tertiary services with a strong focus on early intervention and maternal-child health.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain detailed clinical records using EMR & PAS systems.
* Participate in on-call rosters.
* Play an active role in clinical audits and review programs.
* Support junior medical staff and participate in both undergraduate and postgraduate paediatric teaching.
Requirements:
* FRACP qualification and eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in general paediatrics and child health.
* Previous experience working in a public hospital setting.
* Experience in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
* Experience in, and commitment to, working within a multidisciplinary team with an interdisciplinary approach to services.
