Maintenance Fitter
Our client is a market leader in the poultry processing industry that provides the freshest, top-quality poultry products Australia wide. APG are currently recruiting for A Night Shift Maintenance Fitter.
We are looking to recruit an energetic and motivated Maintenance Fitter who is prepared to work night shift. The role will provide support to the Maintenance and Production teams by providing quality and efficient maintenance services during planned maintenance, breakdowns and the installation of new plant and equipment.
To be considered for this role you will ideally have experience working within the food manufacturing industry and have a sound understanding of GMP guidelines. It is essential for this role that you have solid fault finding & problem-solving skills and experience completing preventative maintenance.
About the role:
* Sunday through to Thursday Between hours of 10:30am – 6:30am
* Takes direction from Maintenance Supervisor and responds to requests from production team as required including breakdowns, machine change overs, machine fault finding.
* You will assist with maintaining a high standard to enable optimum production performance and safe operations.
* Ensuring critical spare parts are on hand and orderly.
* Pay rate: $54.14 per hour.
* The successful candidate will be required to work reasonable overtime on weekends.
Requirements:
* Relevant trade qualifications as a Fitter with welding certification will be advantageous
* Currently working at and classified as a C10 – C8 Maintenance Fitter
* Ensure that all work carried out complies with Company Health and Safety policies
* Maintain high standards of work and behaviour
* A demonstrated commitment to safety
* Sound understanding and experience working with pneumatics
* Strong commitment of support to the production team
* Work as part of a dedicated maintenance team
* Forklift licence, EWP licence, confined space, riggers ticket will be advantageous
* Basic welding skills in TIG, MIG & ARC.
The successful applicant will need to hold a current driver’s license and have their own reliable transport.
