UGL Transport is looking for expressions of interest for the critical Pre‐Contracts Commercial Manager position, which can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.
Responsibilities
* Lead the development of commercial deliverables for submission of expressions of interest and tenders ensuring they are competitive, accurate, and profitable.
* Ensure tender submissions align with UGLT policies, including conducting risk assessments of contract terms and conditions.
* Input into commercial advice and recommendations to bid and senior management teams.
* Develop procurement strategies for subcontract packages and negotiate terms.
* In conjunction with legal teams support preparation of client departures: identifying and assessing risks during the tender process.
* Negotiate contract terms, conditions, and departures with clients, JV partners, and key subcontractor packages.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience: Generally 5+ years of proven, extensive experience in commercial management, specifically within pre‐contracts/bidding.
Education: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, Construction Management, or Business.
Capabilities: Strong negotiation skills, deep understanding of contracts, and the ability to influence stakeholders.
