Support Worker Role
We are seeking a skilled Support Worker to join our team, working with young people who may be struggling with alcohol or drug issues. The role involves providing assessment, counseling, and support services, as well as developing individualized treatment goals.
This is a part-time position, working 3 days a week at our office in Lithgow. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of evidence-based practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of clients.
About the Role
* The role involves working with young people aged 12-24 who are experiencing difficulties with alcohol or drugs.
* Provide assessment, counseling, and support services to help individuals develop and implement individualized treatment goals.
* Work closely with local youth services to ensure effective delivery of services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in a relevant Health or Human Services field.
* Strong understanding of evidence-based practices and assessment techniques.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of clients.
