Responsibilities
* Serve as the lead technical resource for the sales team, providing expert guidance and support from initial customer engagement through to project close. This includes participating in sales calls, discovery sessions, and presenting technical solutions for industrial automation.
* Work closely with customers and the sales team to understand their operational processes, challenges, and business objectives; based on this design, propose, and technically validate comprehensive Siemens industrial automation solutions.
* Apply both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to configure, program, and integrate various components of Siemens automation platforms, and develop compelling proof‐of‐concept demonstrations.
* Lead and execute hands‐on activities such as product demonstrations, system configuration showcases, PLC/HMI programming examples, industrial network setup, and system integration scenarios.
* Address complex technical inquiries and potential objections during the sales process, providing clear technical explanations.
* Develop and customize technical presentations, white papers, application notes, and competitive analyses to support sales initiatives.
* Act as a trusted technical advisor, building strong, long‐lasting relationships with customer engineering, operations, and IT teams.
* Stay current with the latest advancements in industrial automation, digitalization trends, control theory, and the competitive landscape; provide valuable market feedback.
* Maintain continuous and proactive communication with the sales team, aligning on strategy, identifying technical blockers, and jointly developing plans to advance opportunities.
Required Skills & Experience
* Passion for technology and driving it from challenge to application with real‐world impact.
* Engineering degree or relevant experience in Automation, Electrical, Mechatronics, Control Systems Engineering or a closely related technical field.
* Proven track record of successful collaboration in a team environment to achieve business objectives.
* Solid knowledge of industrial automation architectures, PLC/DCS programming principles, HMI/SCADA design, industrial networking concepts, motion control, and control theory.
* Hands‐on experience with Siemens industrial automation hardware and software, including SIMATIC PLCs and TIA Portal, SIMATIC HMI and WinCC, SCADA systems, SINAMICS Drives, and industrial communication networks.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, control narratives, and functional design specifications.
* Ability to manage and resolve complex technical issues effectively under high‐pressure situations.
* Exceptional problem‐solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills with a focus on practical application and customer outcomes.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‐technical audiences.
* Strong interpersonal skills, customer‐centric approach, and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
* Ability to travel domestically and potentially internationally.
