Brief Description
The Consultation Liaison will be a valued member of the Infant Child Youth Mental Health Service to provide expert mental health care to children/adolescents and their families, as part of a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include providing high quality tertiary mental health care for children/adolescents who are inpatients of paediatric and medical/surgical wards, and patients of the Emergency Department at Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) and Northeast Health Wangaratta (NHW).
Responsibilities
* Provide expert mental health care to children/adolescents and families.
* Deliver high quality tertiary mental health care to inpatients on paediatric and medical/surgical wards, and ED patients at AWH and NHW.
* Work within a multidisciplinary team supporting a developmental, systemic, trauma‐informed and recovery framework.
Qualifications
* Current and unencumbered registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
* Minimum of 5 years full‐time equivalent post‐registration experience, with at least 3 years of full‐time equivalent experience within Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
* Completed postgraduate studies in Mental Health or Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
* Demonstrated excellence in managing children and young people with mental health difficulties, their families, and the service sector from a developmental, systemic, trauma‐informed and recovery framework.
