Job Overview
The Managing Principal Lawyer will lead and coordinate all day-to-day legal aspects for a portfolio of large-scale infrastructure projects, making a significant contribution to tangible outcomes across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality and pragmatic legal advice, focused primarily on project development, procurement, delivery, contracting, and interfaces.
* Oversee, mentor, and guide other legal team members and undertake people management responsibilities as required.
* Collaborate with the Commercial and Legal team, and the broader multi-disciplinary project team, to provide best-for-project solutions.
* Manage internal and external legal resources and engage with and influence senior decision makers.
* Contribute to contract management tools, standard forms, and briefing documents.
About You:
* A construction or infrastructure specialist, with extensive experience in managing complex projects.
* A natural leader – you have experience in leading teams (formally or informally) to achieve optimal project outcomes.
* A collaborative professional – your expert communication and stakeholder management skills ensure a cohesive approach in managing complex legal matters in a deadline-driven environment.
* Well-versed in managing contractual matters (including drafting and claims) and other complex legal matters throughout the development and delivery of infrastructure projects.
