Land & Development Acquisition Manager — Residential & Low-Rise
An established modular construction and development group operating across Australia, the Pacific and Asia is building out its Australian development pipeline and seeking a senior development and acquisition professional to source opportunities nationally — across land, residential and low-to-mid‐rise commercial.
The group combines an Australian development base, a long‐standing record delivering in remote and challenging locations, and its own Asia‐based manufacturing through directly held operations — giving it a genuine edge in delivering acquired projects. This is a senior, deal‐origination role: finding the opportunities, running the numbers, and getting them under contract.
The role:
* Source development opportunities nationally — land and subdivision, residential, and low‐to‐mid‐rise commercial including apartments, hotels, mixed‐use and office
* Build and hold relationships with agents, developers, landowners, institutional vendors and other off‐market deal sources
* Run feasibility and highest‐and‐best‐use assessments across both built‐form and land opportunities
* Negotiate acquisitions and shepherd opportunities from identification through to contract
* Work with the development and delivery teams to target projects that suit the group's modular delivery model — by scale, repeatability and buildability
What we're after:
* A senior track record sourcing and acquiring development sites in Australia — across residential and commercial built‐form, not land alone
* Strong commercial feasibility skills — yields, end‐values, GFA and development math, with the judgement to qualify a deal fast and know what to pay
* An established network across agents, developers, landowners and institutional vendors
* Sound command of planning, zoning and the development approval landscapelin>
* A feel for the projects that suit modular delivery — particularly low‐to‐mid‐rise
* The seniority and judgement to qualify hard and pursue the opportunities worth winning
* A property, development, construction or related qualification; willingness to travel domestically as required
