HLM is looking for an experienced Tyre Fitter to support our maintenance team at one of Queensland's leading coal operations.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance of heavy mining equipment tyres and rims.
- Inspect, remove, fit, rotate, and inflate tyres on heavy mobile equipment, including haul trucks and other mobile plant.
- Remove, inspect and fit earthmoving and off-the-road tyres (AURKTJ011)
- Remove, inspect and fit earthmoving and off-the-road wheel and rim assemblies (AURKTJ012)
- Perform tyre repairs and pressure management in line with OEM specifications and site procedures.
- Operate tyre handlers, jacking equipment, and inflation systems safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with supervisors, fitters, and planners to align tyre maintenance with production priorities.
- Adhere to all site safety protocols including risk assessments, and isolation procedures.
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- Relevant trade qualification or Certificate II in Mobile Tyre Fitting.
- Demonstrated experience in mining tyre fitting, preferably on ultra-class equipment.
- Sound understanding of mining safety protocols, including hazard identification, risk management, and isolation procedures.
- Commitment to HLM and their Client's safety, reliability, and continuous improvement culture.
- Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical.
- Valid manual drivers licence
