Job Title: Procurement SpecialistHybrid
Role Overview:
This is a fixed-term 12-month contract role as a Procurement Specialist for Paints Australia’s portfolio with its coatings raw material supplier base and Procurement’s interface with Paints Australia Marketing, R&D and Operations for the Sales & Operations Planning process.
The successful candidate will manage a core set of suppliers for the Woodcare business and act as the key point of contact for procurement-related enquiries and support for our Woodcare business unit.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing the supplier relationships to ensure we get the best support, pricing and service levels from our suppliers
* Collaborating with key stakeholders across the business
* Developing and executing sourcing strategies
* Fielding queries from internal teams regarding your category
* Understanding the impact of global supply chains on your projects and timelines
Requirements:
• A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Accounting or Science • Proven operational procurement and vendor management experience, ideally in the manufacturing industry • Experience negotiating with suppliers to drive efficiencies • Strong practical experience using MS Excel for analysis • SAP/ Ariba experience is advantageous • Strong prioritization and time management skills
