This key role in our business will see you working in collaboration with our client on the **Melbourne Zoo Portfolio**, to provide operational leadership in a unique, dynamic and creative environment. As a **Key Account Manager,** you will build strong relationships with our stakeholders whilst delivering sustainable results by exceeding customer and client expectations. This strategic role will encompass operational and commercial management with a strong emphasis on the people management piece, hands on leadership and growth within the business for yourself and your team.
**The Role**
- Communicate and work collaboratively with the client on all aspects of delivering a quality service
- Be a "hands on" leader, ensuring the smooth functional flow of our venue
- Developing leadership and employee capability, while fostering a high-performance culture through continuous improvement, innovation, and growth.
- Strong commercial acumen to actively develop and execute strategies to deliver and manage a budget
- Develop & implement strategies for improving the delivery of quality products & services
- Optimise profit & achieve improved & sustainable business results
- Experience working within large, dynamic venues.
- A natural affinity to people, whether clients, staff, or customers.
- Excellent communication and personal skills, evidence of building successful business relationships at senior executive level
- Strong and decisive leadership skills with ability to build effective, engaged, and motivated teams
- Previous experience in similar environment: hotels, venues, events or previous experience in general manager or operations manager position (desirable)
- Hospitality or Business qualifications well regarded
