Due to continued growth and a focus on strengthening our safety systems, we are seeking an experienced WHS / OHS Manager to join our business on a part-time basis. This role offers genuine flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across a diverse operation.
About the Role
Reporting directly to senior management, you will take ownership of our WHS framework, ensuring our systems, processes, and on-site practices meet legislative requirements while supporting a positive, practical safety culture.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is comfortable working across multiple environments — from office and workshop settings to construction sites and regional locations.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain WHS policies, procedures, and systems in line with Australian legislation
* Review and uplift existing safety systems to support business growth and compliance
* Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments across varied work environments
* Provide practical WHS advice and support to management, supervisors, and workers
* Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented
* Monitor, analyse, and report on WHS performance, identifying trends and improvement opportunities
* Deliver WHS training, inductions, and toolbox talks tailored to different work groups
* Support a proactive safety culture that balances compliance with real-world practicality
About You
* Proven experience in a WHS / OHS management role, ideally within construction, manufacturing, transport, or similar high-risk industries
* Relevant qualifications in Workplace / Occupational Health and Safety
* Strong working knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and best-practice systems
* Comfortable engaging with workers at all levels, from site crews to management
* Practical, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
* Able to work autonomously and manage competing priorities across multiple sites
* Cert IV or higher in WHS (or equivalent) highly regarded
