Family Support Specialist Role Summary:
We are seeking a Family Support Specialist to join our team in providing high-quality support services to families in need. The successful candidate will work closely with government agencies, community groups, and other stakeholders to deliver targeted interventions that promote positive outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of family circumstances to identify areas of need and develop tailored intervention plans
* Provide outreach and in-home support to families, including advocacy, education, and skill-building activities
* Work collaboratively with government agencies, community groups, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of services and effective coordination of resources
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
* Relevant experience working with vulnerable children and families, preferably in a kinship care context
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
