ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites, gold mines and coal fields. We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world, from oil rigs in the North Sea to gold mines in the Australian Outback.
Unprecedented growth across our east coast remote sector has resulted in a flurry of internal movements and development pathways. Therefore, we’re taking expressions of interest for an experienced Assistant Site Manager interested in live-in roles on Groote Eylandt, in the Gulf of Carpentaria, or FIFO ex Darwin or Cairns.
A rare opportunity in the remote sector to live and work in an amazing tropical environment or FIFO ex Darwin or Cairns, whilst enjoying state-of-the-art facilities, including an indoor and outdoor gym, swimming pool, sporting facilities, golf course, and the Island’s famous tavern. For the right candidate, there may be a generous relocation package for you and your family, along with housing, accommodation, vehicle, and flight subsidies back to mainland Australia multiple times throughout the year.
The roster is 8 days on, 6 days off, working 12-hour days.
The Position
* Management of the Village (750 rooms), including catering, cleaning, logistics, and transport of operations onsite.
* Maintaining consistent operational performance, driving quality, cost efficiency, people capability, and performance.
* Driving regular and sustainable improvement in safety performance.
* Fostering a high-performance culture through continuous improvement and innovation.
The Person
* Strong and decisive leadership skills with the ability to build effective and engaged teams.
* Experience managing multiple stakeholder relationships and project deadlines.
* Strong financial and analytical skills in developing budgets and allocating resources to ensure a sustainable and profitable business.
* Proven management experience in the hospitality field, ideally within catering and/or accommodation services environments.
