About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated HR Advisor to join our passionate team, based at our Brisbane office providing support across the state.
In this dynamic role, you'll deliver generalist HR support across the employee lifecycle. You'll partner with managers to provide practical advice, support recruitment and onboarding, lead HR projects, and help shape a positive, values-led workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide timely, practical advice to leaders and employees on HR and employee relations matters.
* Coordinate and support recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes across the organisation.
* Lead and manage HR projects from planning through to implementation and review.
* Assist with performance development processes and guide managers through low to medium level employee relations matters.
* Assist with annual pay reviews, including award interpretation and benchmarking, to support equitable and compliant remuneration outcomes.
* Create and deliver internal HR training sessions to senior and middle management, empowering them to meet FDCQ's leadership and operational objectives.
* Ensure compliance with employment legislation, the Fair Work Act, NES, and the SCHADS Award.
* Support the review and implementation of HR policies and contribute to organisational workforce planning.
* Prepare clear, well-structured reports and workforce analytics to inform decision-making.
* Contribute to maintaining a positive, inclusive, and values-driven workplace culture.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (or studying towards).
* 2–4 years' experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within a community services, education, or not-for-profit environment.
* Sound knowledge of the Fair Work Act, NES, and modern awards (ideally SCHADS).
* Strong recruitment, onboarding, and HR compliance experience.
* Highly organised, with excellent time management and the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
* Proven ability to lead HR projects from start to finish, delivering outcomes on time.
* Experience designing and delivering HR-related training to managers and teams.
* Exceptional written communication skills, including report writing and data analysis.
* A strong and effective communicator, confident in providing clear advice, engaging with managers, and influencing positive outcomes.
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a genuine interest in supporting people and culture.
* Willingness to travel to regional locations as required.
