Culturally Sensitive Practice
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing culturally sensitive practices to address the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people involved in the justice system.
They will work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and plan regional coordination and implementation of cultural programs and initiatives, facilitating the identification of and access to people and resources to enhance effective practice.
This role is committed to building a workforce that better reflects the perspectives of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities we serve.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing culturally sensitive practices, working closely with internal stakeholders, and facilitating the identification of and access to people and resources to enhance effective practice.
The successful candidate will also provide direct input to the development of the Community and Custodial priorities and plans, reflecting the objectives of the Youth Justice Aboriginal Strategic Directions (ASD) and the Aboriginal Employment Strategy.
