We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as a Residential Community Director. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of students and staff within our boarding community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the welfare and supervision of students in their care, promoting their development and wellbeing.
* Enable tutorial counselling, discipline, and routine arrangements that foster responsible community behaviour.
* Encourage student leadership and community spirit through quality House and School activities.
* Liaise with academic staff on individual student needs and progress.
* Work closely with parents and guardians to promote links between the boarding house and home life.
* Collaborate with Heads of House and other support staff to ensure seamless student support.
* Manage compliance matters, including safety protocols and accurate record keeping.
* Advise on staff allocation and encourage professional learning and development.
* Review and manage staff performance, leading and managing allocated staff effectively.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Exceptional relationship management skills, including empathy and communication.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with staff and parents.
* Previous experience in a management or supervisory role, ideally in an education setting.
* Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field, such as Boarding Management or Education.
* Ability to lead, energise, and coordinate diverse teams towards common goals.
* Knowledge and practical application of regulatory compliance systems and frameworks.
* A thorough understanding of positive education pedagogical theory, standards, and practice.
