Your responsibilities will include:Providing personal care, including hygiene, grooming, and mobility assistanceAssisting with household tasks such as meal preparation and light cleaningSupporting clients with social and community engagementAdministering medication as required (if trained and qualified)Providing transport for medical appointments and activitiesEncouraging and promoting independence, choice, and well-beingImplementing individualised care and support plansWorking Hours & RequirementsGCLA operates 24/7 services, with shifts available across public holidays, weekends, overnight, evenings, and mornings.
Applicants must be flexible to work across these hours as needed.A genuine passion for supporting older AustraliansCertificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalentExperience in aged care or community supportStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamCurrent First Aid & CPR CertificateYellow Card (or willing to obtain)Current Australian Driver's Licence and a reliable, insured vehicleAbility to work a variety of shifts, including public holidays, weekends, overnight, evenings, and morningsExperience with dementia care or palliative careMedication Administration trainingManual Handling trainingWhy Join GCLA?
