Casework Support Worker - PSP (Out of Home Care)
Experience the rewarding role of a Casework Support Worker, supporting children, families, carers and caseworkers in creating safe and stable care environments.
This is a full-time opportunity until June 2026 with travel across the NSW Mid-North Coast region. You'll work closely with the team to develop professionally while making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young people.
You will provide support during placement changes or breakdowns, ensuring smooth transitions. This role involves assisting in completing necessary tasks, including paperwork, case file notes and supporting visits. You'll also facilitate connections between children and their broader kin, community and culture.
* Servicing Community Needs: Supervise and support culturally safe family time between children and their families.
* Supporting Placements: Arrange respite placements and provide transport for children and young people as needed.
* Assisting Caseworkers: Assist in completing necessary casework tasks, including basic paperwork, case file notes, and supporting visits.
* Building Connections: Help facilitate connections between children and their broader kin, community and culture.
* Collaborating with Teams: Collaborate with caseworkers and clinical teams on strategies and support plans for children and carers.
* Maintaining Records: Maintain accurate records and ensure administrative requirements are met.
Key Requirements
* A Certificate IV (minimum) in Community Services or enrolled and working towards a social service qualification.
* Flexibility and reliability to jump in where support is needed.
* Ability to communicate effectively, with care, clarity and cultural respect.
* Hold a current driver's licence and Working with Children Check.
